Resumen de la temporada

Space Explorers

Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 3 launched on February 22, 2018, and is widely considered the season where the game exploded into mainstream global pop culture. It established the modern Battle Pass structure by expanding from 70 to 100 tiers, a standard that Epic Games continues to use today. This season also revolutionized player progression by replacing the somewhat restrictive daily challenge system with the now-familiar Weekly Challenges, allowing players to catch up on tasks at their own pace. Themed around space exploration, the season heavily featured astronauts and cosmic elements. As the season progressed, a mysterious blue comet appeared in the sky, gradually growing larger and spawning massive community conspiracy theories about where it would land. By the final weeks, smaller meteors began crashing into the island during live matches, bridging the gap between gameplay and live narrative storytelling for the first time in the game's history.

Lucky Landing was added to the southern edge of the map on March 1, 2018, to celebrate the Lunar New Year. While not as transformative as the Season 2 map update, the island received minor tweaks, including the gradual appearance of telescopes pointing at the comet in the sky.
