A New Beginning
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1
Visão geral da temporada
Oathbound and New Reality
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 launched on December 4, 2022, introducing a breathtaking new island forged from the fragments of multiple realities. This season was a massive technical milestone, debuting Unreal Engine 5.1 features like Nanite, Lumen, and Virtual Shadow Maps, which fundamentally upgraded the game's visual fidelity and lighting. The storyline focused on the Oathbound, a medieval-futuristic faction led by The Ageless Champion (a snapshot of the Imagined Order founder, Geno), who ruled the island from his stronghold at The Citadel. Gameplay was revolutionized by the introduction of Reality Augments, a perk system that allowed players to choose temporary buffs or abilities at intervals during a match. The season also introduced the wildly popular Shockwave Hammer for mobility and combat, Slap Juice for unlimited stamina, and Trail Thrasher dirt bikes for off-road traversal.
