Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
Visão geral da temporada
Wasteland and Vehicular Combat
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, titled "Wrecked," launched on May 24, 2024. A massive sandstorm summoned at the end of Season 2 consumed the southern portion of the island, creating a post-apocalyptic Wasteland controlled by a ruthless gang of marauders known as the Wasteland Warriors, led by Megalo Don. This season completely shifted the meta toward explosive vehicular combat. Cars were no longer just for mobility; players could heavily modify them with machine gun turrets, grenade launchers, spiked bumpers, and bulletproof tires to create rolling fortresses. The introduction of Nitro Splashes allowed players to sprint endlessly and physically bash through walls, while the Nitro Fists provided some of the most chaotic melee combat and aerial mobility in the game's history. The Medallion system returned with boss-held coins granting incredibly powerful perks, such as infinite ammo and permanent Nitro effects. The season was also heavily defined by massive crossovers, including Fallout's iconic Power Armor, a full-scale Metallica concert takeover, and Marvel's Magneto arriving to tear apart the armored vehicles.

Map & POI Changes
Landmarks, locations and changes that shaped this season.
The southern biome was transformed into a sandy Wasteland. New POIs included the Nitrodrome (a massive monster truck arena run by Ringmaster Scarr), Redline Rig (a Nitro refinery run by The Machinist), and Brutal Beachhead (Megalo Don's beached shark-shaped battleship). The Metallica update temporarily transformed the floating Loot Island into a massive rock concert stage.
How it played
Gameplay & Mechanics
Vehicle Modding was the core mechanic, allowing players to attach turrets, heavy armor, and off-road tires to cars by driving through mod boxes. Nitro Splashes infused players (or vehicles) with fiery energy, granting infinite stamina, increased speed, and the ability to instantly destroy building structures by sprinting through them. War Buses patrolled the island, firing EMP pulses to disable other vehicles.

Live Event / Finale
No traditional live event. Throughout the season, Megalo Don fueled a massive pipeline to power his ship. The season concluded with a mini-event where the pipeline was sabotaged and exploded, uncovering a hidden refinery that set the stage for Doctor Doom's arrival in Season 4.
