Alien Invasion and Sci-Fi
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, titled "Beyond," launched on September 18, 2026. Following the receding waters of Season 3, the massive alien spacecraft buried beneath the center of the island activated, unleashing an extraterrestrial invasion force across the Golden Coast. Players engaged in zero-gravity combat and hijacked advanced alien technology. The season introduced Anti-Gravity Biomes where players could float, jump higher, and fight mid-air without taking fall damage. Fully drivable UFOs (Saucers) returned to the loot pool, equipped with tractor beams to pick up vehicles and players. A new abduction mechanic periodically beamed players up into the Mothership for a high-tier loot mini-game. The battle pass heavily featured a cosmic aesthetic, headlined by a massive collaboration with Mass Effect, bringing Commander Shepard to the Battle Royale to fight off the alien threat.

The center of the map transformed into The Crash Site, a massive dormant spaceship that slowly hovered higher over the season. The Coral Casino was replaced by Cosmic Colony, an alien forward operating base. Purple Anti-Gravity biomes slowly spread across the map week by week.
How it played
Gameplay & Mechanics
Anti-Gravity Zones altered movement physics, allowing for massive leaps. Abductions randomly targeted POIs, pulling players into a Mothership mini-game to compete for Vault keys. Drivable UFOs returned with updated weapon systems. Weapon crafting returned, allowing players to upgrade standard weapons into alien tech using Nanites.

The Beyond Battle Pass featured Orion (Tier 1), Starfarer, Zorgon, Galactic Marine, Nebula, and Mass Effect's Commander Shepard (Tier 100). The secret unlockable skin was the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise.
