Last Resort

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, titled "Last Resort," launched on August 25, 2023. The island was taken over by Kado Thorne, a time-traveling vampire who established massive, highly secure estates across the map to hoard mythic weapons he stole from Fortnite's past. Players were tasked with executing high-stakes heists to infiltrate these compounds. To pull off the heists, players used Heist Bags containing specialized gear like the Rocket Ram, which allowed them to launch themselves into the air and smash directly through roofs and walls for explosive getaways. Thorne's estates were heavily guarded by laser grids, security cameras, AI guards, and automated turrets. The season culminated in Fortnitemares 2023, bringing iconic horror characters like Michael Myers and Jack Skellington. Ultimately, Kado Thorne's time machine (which he used to steal the artifacts) was commandeered by the island's heroes. Set to the date "July 12, 2018," the machine set the stage for players to travel back in time for the massive "Fortnite OG" season.
